Do you supply medical devices to Dutch hospitals? If so, you must comply with new data requirements and delivery methods starting January 1, 2025.
Dutch hospitals have decided that medical device suppliers must provide product information via a Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN).
The background for these new requirements is an agreement between medical device suppliers and hospitals in the Netherlands to standardize and automate the exchange of product information. This is being done to improve data quality and streamline workflows for both suppliers and recipients, who currently often exchange numerous Excel spreadsheets.

These requirements mean that as of January 1, 2025, Danish manufacturers and suppliers of medical devices to the Netherlands must also provide standardized product information via a global standardized data exchange platform, the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN).
As a manufacturer and supplier, you can meet these requirements by using the Danish GDSN solution via GS1Trade Sync. The best setup depends on your specific needs and the number of products for which information must be provided to the Dutch hospitals.
