GS1Trade Activate (formerly known as GS1Trade Barcode) provides a digital overview of all your GTINs and GLNs.
This makes it easier for you to keep track of your numbers and frees you from manual update processes and makes it easy to create barcodes for your products and shipments.
The service is free for GS1 Denmark members.
In this video, Peter shows you how to use GS1Trade Activate to create your GTIN barcode numbers and assign product names and descriptions to each GTIN.
You'll also learn how to name your GTIN barcode numbers so you can better keep track of what you use them for.
GS1Trade Activate is a tool for all companies, regardless of size. The service is free for all our members. Where the manual process previously consisted of individual Excel sheets to create an overview of your numbers, these are now digitally placed in a so-called cloud at GS1 Denmark.
With GS1Trade Activate, you can keep track of how many GTINs from your company prefix you have used and what they are used for.
You can also keep track of whether GTINs already in use are still active. GS1Trade Activate automatically generates the next available GTIN in accordance with the GS1 standard, and you can generate barcodes based on the GTINs you have registered in the tool.
For GTIN, it's also worth mentioning that GS1Trade Activate is connected to the GS1 Registry Platform and supports Verified by GS1.
You can also keep track of your GLNs with GS1Trade Activate, so you have an overview of what your GLNs are used for.

In GS1Trade Activate, you can easily and quickly create barcodes based on your GTINs (barcode numbers) that you have created in the system.
In addition, you have the option to create barcodes using manual input in the same way as in the previous system, GS1Trade Barcode.
Simply click on "Create barcode" under the "GTIN item numbers" view where you can select the barcode types: UPC-A, EAN-13, ITF-14, EAN-8 and GS1-128 label.
