GS1 Denmark is now launching GS1 UDI Link – a new data service designed to make it easier and more reliable for medical device manufacturers to report their UDI data to regulatory databases such as EUDAMED, GUDID, and Swissdamed.

The need for an efficient solution is particularly urgent now that the EU has confirmed that reporting to EUDAMED will become mandatory from May 28, 2026. This means that many manufacturers are facing an extensive and complex task, making the assurance of accurate data flows more important than ever.

With GS1 UDI Link, medical device manufacturers can manage their UDI reporting through a single, automated flow that reduces manual handling, minimizes the risk of errors, and ensures high data quality.

The solution is built on the existing GS1Trade Sync setup and includes both validation and the correct transfer of data. At the same time, it is designed to be easily scalable to include new registries in the future.
