In connection with the implementation of GS1 Denmark's strategy, Vision 2030, the Board of Directors and CEO Per Ahlmann Andersen have jointly assessed that a new strategic and organizational setup is required to realize the ambitions set out in the strategy.
Against this background, the parties have agreed to end their collaboration.
"Translating a new and ambitious strategy into concrete direction and priorities places new demands on both leadership and the organization. In this case, it became clear to both parties along the way that a different match was needed for the CEO role for the next phase, which will have an increased focus on growth, partnerships, and organizational development," says Chairman of the Board of GS1 Denmark, Niels Jensen.
The Board has initiated the process of finding a new CEO, and in the meantime, Niels Jensen will step in as Executive Chairman.
"On behalf of the Board and the entire GS1 organization – in Denmark and the rest of the world – I would like to thank Per for the significant effort he has put into GS1 for the benefit of our members and partners," the Chairman concludes.
