Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
We are constantly working on how to create the greatest possible flexibility in the use of our systems, and we continuously strive to align this with the diverse needs of our users.
That is why we have created a more transparent pricing structure in GS1Trade Packaging, which will take effect on January 1, 2026.
The goal is to ensure that you, as a user, only pay for the features your company actually uses – and to create a solution that better matches the way you work with packaging data. Read all about it below.
The basic subscription, which allows you to create and share data, will continue more or less as you know it.
We have adjusted some of the price levels (both up and down) and set a fixed price for those of you with over 4,000 active products in GS1Trade Packaging. Previously, this was based on individual quotes, but it has now been made more transparent.
Price as of 01.01.26: DKK 1,250 per year
Prices based on the number of active products created in GS1Trade Packaging (as of 01.01.26):
1–300 products: DKK 350 per year
301–2,000 products: DKK 2,500 per year
2,001–4,000 products: DKK 5,500 per year
4,001+ products: DKK 15,000 per year
For users who need to use GS1Trade Packaging to calculate marketed packaging volumes and report to a collective scheme.
Here, you also have the option to receive data from your suppliers. Data is displayed in the platform, with no option to export data at this time.
Price as of 01.01.26: DKK 5,500 per year
For users who wish to receive packaging data from suppliers in GS1Trade Sync and extract data from the system for your own reporting or further processing.
Price as of 01.01.26: DKK 30,000 per year
We hope the new price structure makes it easier for you to use GS1Trade Packaging in the way that best suits your company's needs.
