If you are one of those who have frequently used GS1Trade Barcode to generate your barcodes, you can look forward to doing this in GS1Trade Activate instead. GS1 Denmark has decided to retire GS1Trade Barcode.
And if you are thinking – oh no, where will I create my barcodes and pallet labels now? Then fear not, because you can still do it with GS1. Everything will simply take place in GS1Trade Activate.
These changes are being made to make life easier for our members. Previously, you had to use two systems to generate GS1 keys and physical barcodes, but in the future, this will be consolidated into one. We hope this will make life easier for our members.
Furthermore, we have also added a host of new features designed to help you generate your barcodes. For example, you can now assign the next available SSCC number to yourself, so you don't have to calculate it manually.
Specifically, GS1 is closingTrade Barcode is scheduled to close on April 30, 2024, and you will then need to log in to www.gs1tradeactivate.dk to create and generate your barcodes.
There will be a transition period during which you can still generate your barcodes in GS1Trade Barcode.
If you have a company prefix, you can easily gain access to GS1Trade Activate. Simply contact our member services team at info@gs1.dk, and they will be happy to help you get started.

You will, however, need to enter your first SSCC number as a starting point. Subsequently, GS1Trade Activate will automatically allocate the next available SSCC number.
GS1Trade Barcode will close as planned on the 30th of April 2024. After this date, you will need to log in to www.gs1tradeactivate.dk to create and generate your barcodes.
