Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.

The images produced by GS1Trade Image reflect the physical products you submit.
To enable GS1Trade Image to deliver your ordered product images, make sure that:

To determine the default front of base units, cases, and shelf-ready packaging, GS1 follows Section 4.2 of the GS1 Package and Product Measurement Standard. The image naming and photography specifications are then applied in accordance with the GS1 Product Image Specification Standard.
Regardless of their actual shape, all products are treated by the standard as having six sides.
Image file names indicate the image type, camera angle, orientation, and product presentation. For example: "C1N1".

CGI images follow the same naming convention as photographs of physical products. To distinguish them, the suffix "_R" is added to the file name - for example, "GTIN_C1N1_R".
All image naming follows the guidelines set out in the GS1 Product Image Specification Standard.

Image Standard contains high-resolution images and planogram images of all 6 pages, as well as 2-3 rotated and/or augmented supplementary images.
A total of 9 different high-resolution images are provided in both JPG (with active clipping path) and PNG file formats. Further, between 6 and 8 planogram images are provided. All images are uploaded to GS1Trade Sync, from where they can be retrieved.
In some cases, extensive graphic post-processing is required to ensure optimal image quality. This can be by major scratches, skewed composition of packaging or by other defects. It is at the discretion of the photographer whether this is necessary and this triggers a graphic post-processing surcharge.

Get to market faster – or choose CGI for packaging that's difficult to photograph.

Computer Generated Images (CGI) allow you to get images of the product before it is produced. It is also ideal for products where the packaging is difficult to take pictures of, such as welded bags.
CGI creates a professional-quality digital marketing image based on the artwork and dimensions of the product.
This means that you can get great looking and likable images as soon as the product artwork is in place, so it can potentially get to market faster.
It is possible to order CGI images of all sides/angles plus rotated left, rotated right and raised front.

1 The product front is defined on the basis of the most recent “GS1 Package and Product Measurement Standard”.
2 Rotated left, rotated 15 degrees and camera lifted 30 degrees (GTIN_C1L1_R).
3 Rotated right, rotated 15 degrees and camera lifted 30 degrees (GTIN_C1R1_R).
4 Elevated front, straight front view and camera leveled 30 degrees (GTIN_C1C1_R).
