Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
Watch the guide as a video tutorial:
The written version:
When creating products in GS1Trade Sync, you need to make them visible to the data recipients you want to be able to see the product master data.
You can create data Openbaar, Limited or It's private.
Openbaar = All data recipients will be able to access data.
Limited = You want to limit the number of data recipients so that not everyone can access, but only those you add can access data.
Private = You need to create a private label product or you want to create customer-specific versions of the same item (for example, if you want to specify different guaranteed shelf life dates or different internal item numbers.
When you create a product in GS1Trade Sync, the first screen will look like this:

You need to fill in the red fields as you usually do, but eventually under “Who should have access to the data?”, you now have to choose between the following:
Public (with or without restriction).

If you choose Public (with or without restriction), this means that when you have finished product creation and need to publish, you can choose whether to create the product Openbaar (=visible to all) or Limited (visible to the data recipients you only want to see the product).
IMPORTANT: When you select as shown above, your product will be set to Openbaar, but this can be changed if you want to choose for yourself the data recipients who should have access to the product.
Please be aware that if you select the above, you will not be able to make customer-specific information such as shelf life on arrival if you add multiple data recipients to the product. All data recipients will receive the same information.
If you need to create a private label product or want to create customer-specific versions, click.

After that, you can add a data receiver. The creation of private data is carried out in the same way as before.

If you have chosen Public (with or without restriction) and you need to publish your product hierarchy (remember: you should always publish only when you are completely finished with your item hierarchy), press Publication Overview on the right at the bottom of your screenshot.

You will now see this screenshot.

As mentioned earlier, data is automatically added Openbaar.
If you want to change to Limited, please click here.
Select Limited instead of Openbaar.

If you select Restricted, you must either add one or more data recipients. Multiple data recipients are added in the same box. Pressure Save.

You can also make a fixed group of data recipients by selecting as shown in the field Data Recipient Group and press New group.

Here I have created a group called “Retail Group”.

Save and Publish Finally, the product.
