Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
A GLN (Global Location Number) - also known as an EAN location number or simply an EAN number - identifies a company or location and is used in systems such as invoicing, NemHandel, and electronic trade.
Your GLN is managed in our GS1Trade Activate system, where you also manage your company's GTINs and barcodes.

The GLN number is created automatically with the information provided when your membership was created.
If any information needs to be changed:
On the overview page, you can also download a GLN certificate.
Under Actions select Download certificate.
The certificate documents that your company owns the GLN number in question and can be used as documentation for business partners.
If the button View GLN number is not available, but instead shows Create, it means that the full GLN is not yet registered in GS1Trade Activate.
This is typically seen with older memberships.
To create the GLN:
The complete 13-digit GLN number will then appear in the Key column in your GLNs overview - ready to use.
