Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
If you received an email from TrueCommerce about changing your existing e-conomics plugin to GS1Trades Transact, please skip the first part of this guide.
Go directly to the section “Activation of the plugin in e-conomics”where you will be guided through the necessary steps.
This guide will take you through the steps you need to make a connection between GS1Trades Transact and e-conomics.
First of all, it is essential that your data base in e-conomic is top notch before you start sending messages from e-conomics to GS1Trade Transact.
You need to make sure that all your items are created in e-conomics, just like that all your items must have completed the GTIN.
If you do not make sure that all your goods are created in e-conomics, for example, you cannot receive orders from your customers, as they fail when e-conomics does not know all the items ordered on the order.
You create your goods in e-conomic by clicking 'Sale' at the top of the page. After that, the navigation page will appear on the left side, where you click 'Items'.

The image below shows how you can create a new item by clicking on the button 'New Item'. Here it is important that you fill in the field 'Barcode' with the item's GTIN. Please note that a GTIN can consist of 14 digits.

Just as it is important that all your items are created correctly in e-conomics, it is also important that all your customers are created in e-conomics.
The first thing you need to make sure is that all your customers (debtors) are created and that the GLN number is indicated on all of them. You do that during 'Customers', and then you press 'New Customer' button.

It is important that you under 'E-billing' puts 'E-billing address' to EAN No., and in 'EAN No. ' indicates the GLN of the customer (debtor).

You should also be sure to create delivery addresses with GLN number. Delivery addresses can be found under 'Customers' in the button 'more'when a new customer has been created, which can be seen below.

By and pressing the button 'New delivery place' you can enter the information, which can be seen below. You will need to specify the address, zip code, city and country. During 'ID (e-invoice) ' you need to enter the GLN of the delivery point.

Under Settings — All settings — Master information — Other information, enter your own company's GLN under 'EAN No. '.

The next step is how to set up the connection between e-conomics and GS1Trade Transact.
To establish connection, two things must happen, an App in e-conomics must be installed, which will enable GS1Trade Transact to create order in your e-conomics solution. In addition, a webhook must be set up, which will allow e-conomics to send invoices to GS1Trade Transact.
To install the App in e-conomics, you must first log in to your e-conomics solution. Then you need to use the link below:
This will open a page in your e-conomics solution where you will be asked if you want to install the App 'TrueCommerceEconomicsPlugin'. You can install the App by clicking 'Add app' and authenticate with your e-conomic deal and login.

After installing the App, you will receive a Access ID. It is very important that you save this.
NB! It is not possible to restore this ID, so if you do not get it saved, reinstall the App.
You must now send your Access ID to TrueCommerce, so that they can register this in the OneTime portal and secure the connection to your e-conomics solution. However, it is not appropriate to send the access ID itself in an email, as this gives access to your e-conomics solution. That's why you need to go into Onetime Secret and create a “secret link” containing your Access ID.

When you press 'Create a secret link*' then a unique URL string is formed, which is the one to send to TrueCommerce.

You need to email your Secret link to TrueCommerce. You can send an email by clicking on the link below.
The mail should be sent to onetime-servicedeskdk@truecommerce.com where you must specify e-conomics plugin setup - Company Name in the subject field.
After you send the email, TrueCommerce will make sure to set up the connection to your e-conomics solution in the OneTime portal.
After that, they will send you a URL string that you should use to set up the Webhook in the next item.
The next thing you need to do to secure connectivity between e-conomics and GS1Trades Transact, is to install a Webhook. You can do this by going under Settings — All Settings — Extensions — Webhooks and press ” Create new”.
Create your webhook as shown below.
In the field 'URL' Enter the URL you received from TrueCommerce. After entering the information as shown below, click 'Gem'.
