Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
We have prepared below a brief guide to what you should pay attention to when ordering computer-generated images (CGI) on My GS1.
It is a prerequisite that the GTIN is at least created as a draft in GS1Trade Sync for the order to start and GS1 Denmark reserves the right to delete orders with GTIN not created in GS1Trade Sync.
Attach the graphic artwork of the new label in a PDF file format with a resolution/size of at least 2,500 x 2,500 pixels and 300 dpi.
When you save the PDF, use the “package files” command to collect all elements of the PDF, including fonts, colors, and separate images.
Attach a picture or template showing the shape on which the new label will be applied. No graphic edits are made to the packaging image or template.
The packaging image must be saved as a PNG file of at least 2,500 x 2,500 pixels and 300 dpi.
Attach control image of the graphic artwork in JPG file format.
The JPG file must have a size of at least 2,500 x 2,500 pixels and 72 dpi.
The artwork control image is held up against the PDF of the artwork, and this allows it to be checked whether the PDF file contains the necessary data for the order to be executed.
We hope this guide is of help to you.
