The internal EAN-13 barcode should only be used in closed environments where automatic data capture (scanning) is needed, but where globally unique numbers are not needed.
The company has 4 digits available (up to 10,000 products). The price is always indicated in ears — here DKK 39.75.
This symbol/number series is preferably used where the weight is applied to the product (typically in grams — here 1.505 grams) and the sales price in kg is recorded in the original box.
