Introduction
At GS1 Denmark we would like to make it easier for our members to work with the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). That is why we have prepared this guideline that reviews the most commonly used information that should be provided in the context of beauty and personal care. It is primarily this information that is requested when Danish trading partners in the GDSN network exchange product inventory data for distribution and sale.
The purpose of the guide is to provide a better overview of what information you need to have before you are ready to use the GDSN network to exchange master data, as well as how this information is entered in GS1Trade Sync. If you want a complete overview of all the attributes that can be used, we refer to the complete Danish attribute list. This can be requested on our website www.gs1.dk, where you can also read more about GS1Trade Sync, and about the GS1 standards in general.
Personal care and beauty covers product categories such as (with the exception of electronic devices within these categories):
- Hair products, such as shampoo, conditioner, styling, shaving, hair removal, color and accessories.
- Skin products, like skin care, cleansers, washes, masks, lip balm and sunscreen.
- Cosmetics, like foundation, lipstick, mascara, nail polish and brushes.
- Fragrances, like perfumes and fragrance oils.
- Personal hygiene, such as oral hygiene, female hygiene, incontinence products, deodorants, cleansing wipes and toilet paper.

1. General data (generic data)
