Colloquially, many know GTIN as a barcode, but technically, GTIN is the number found beneath the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
Do you have a free EAN number (also called GLN number) from Visma e-conomic that you use for your orders and e-invoices, and do you want to keep it so that your customers and suppliers can still identify you via this number?
Our 2025 prices range from DKK 0 to DKK 650 per year. The price depends on whether you are a member of GS1 Denmark. If you are a member, it may be free if you already have a certain number of GS1ID numbers.
Below are two price examples:

An EAN number is the same as a GLN number. At GS1, we call it a GLN number, as this has been the correct term since 2005. GLN stands for Global Location Number and identifies who, what and where in various trade relationships.
EAN enables unique identification of locations and functions within a company, which CVR cannot.
EAN is a global standard that enables data sharing with international partners - unlike CVR, which is national only.
Unlike the CVR number, EAN enables automatic and accurate identification in EDI and ERP systems, reducing errors and increasing efficiency.
EAN provides flexibility and scalability in organizations with many entities or functions. You don't get that with the CVR number.
