Application Identifier (AI) 7007 specifies a harvest date or a harvest date range.
For example, the harvest date may be the date or date range on which an animal was slaughtered, a fish was caught, or a crop was harvested. This date or date range is assigned by the company performing the harvesting, slaughtering, or catching.
When referring to a date range, it applies to the entire animal and to all meat or fish cuts derived from that animal.

If the catch period covers only one calendar day, the end date must not be indicated.
If the catch period spans multiple calendar days, both the start and end dates must be indicated, and the end date must be later than the start date.
AI 7007 must always be used in conjunction with a GTIN.
