Application Identifier (AI) 393 specifies an ISO currency code and the amount payable for a variable measure trade item. The amount is expressed in the indicated currency. AI 393n must always be used in conjunction with a GTIN. The ISO currency code is a three-digit numeric code based on ISO 4217 and specifies the currency in which the amount is stated.
